Poems

Below are some poems that I have written, I hope that they are a blessing to you.

Beholding...

Beholding with an open face,
as in a glass not dim,
the glory of our perfect Lord ,
are changed to be like Him.

Are changed into his character,
not by the things we do,
but by the power of this one:
the Holy Spirit, true.

God's Love for You and Me.

God loves you and me
He died upon the tree
He shed His blood on Calvary
That we all may be free

Free from eternal death
Free from sin and shame
Free to live forever
To call upon God's name

We can call in time of trouble
He'll listen when we're sad
He'll be there when we need him
To save us from the bad.

God loves you so very much
Accept Him now today
Kneel down and close your eyes
And this is what you say:

I am sorry for my sin
Forgive me Lord today
I want to live for you
To live for you always.

Seventh day of the week is the day God set aside,
A day of worship and a day to spend with your family.
Because God loves us very much, he gave this day of rest,
But it is sad that some forget, and ignore this special day,
A time to spend with God our Creator and Saviour,
To renew your relationship with Him and one another.
Hallowed be this day, because God has sanctified it.

His Sketchbook

The sunlight streaming through the leaves,
Bejeweling grass and webs alike.
The soft breeze floating through the trees,
Makes for a pleasant, little hike.
The lilies with their loving care,
Adding sweet freshness to the air.

A teen girl standing in the midst,
Absorbing in the love of God,
From lowly herb to sturdy woods,
All springing from the dew-damp sod.
And falling down upon her knees,
She praises God while Satan flees.

Arising from the dewy ground,
She heads towards the washing line,
With basket of clothes, full and round,
Working swiftly, her face ashine!
Reciting God's word, book by book,
Becoming like him, his sketchbook.

The following poem does not rhyme, but it is still a poem.

The Gospel of Christ

Of the gospel of Christ,
I am not ashamed.
It's the power of God
Unto salvation
To all of the people
Who choose to believe,
The children of Christians
And heathen as well.

(Romans 1:16)
